Dan Pankow, Chief Executive Officer

Dan Pankow is the Chief Executive Officer and a founding member of EHPV Management Group headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. EHPV Management Group is a portfolio of diversified companies with over 500 employees. Our companies have generated millions of dollars in revenue for the communities we serve.

The company has had accelerated growth over the years under Mr. Pankow’s three decades of leadership experience. Since becoming CEO in 1994, he has managed the long-term objectives, growth strategies, and brand management. He has a unique ability to identify needs in the market place and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of our customers. Our senior management team is comprised of the best talent in each of their respective industries.

Previously, Mr. Pankow served as the Operations Manager of Contemporary Industries Corporation. In his role, he managed multiple convenience stores in three states. He led a successful effort to streamline operations, increase sales, and improve customer satisfaction.

Mr. Pankow is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and he and his wife have four children. The company has won numerous awards for customer service and sales performance. He is grateful to be a part of a team that works hard each day to achieve their maximum potential.

Gary Vander Woude, Chief Financial Officer

Gary Vander Woude, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer and one of the owners of EHPV Management Group.  In this role since 1987, he has guided the accounting, finance, tax, budgeting, and internal audit functions of the various companies managed by EHPV.  In addition, Mr. Vander Woude offers risk management and strategic advice to the management team as the companies continue to grow past $47 million of annual revenues.  Gary’s email address (gary@safecash.com) sums up his professional view of his role in the EHPV companies.

After serving in the United States Air Force, Mr. Vander Woude joined the international accounting firm of Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touche) where he specialized in the auditing and financial reporting of various publicly traded companies.

Mr. Vander Woude is a member of the AICPA and the Nebraska Society of CPA’s.  He is a graduate of the University of South Dakota, where he earned his bachelor of science degree in business administration with highest honors.  He and his wife have two children and enjoy spending holiday and other family time with their ten grandchildren.

Bill Harvey, General Counsel

Bill Harvey, General Counsel, is a member/partner of EHPV Management Group and has been involved with the companies since 1993. Mr. Harvey manages all legal issues for EHPV. In that role, he works with others in the ownership group overseeing legal issues related to regulatory compliance, contracts, negotiations, government relations, lobbying, payroll, gaming, liquor, employment, tax, banking, insurance, real estate, and acquisitions.

Mr. Harvey is a graduate of the Creighton University School of Law (JD, Magna Cum Laude, 1988), and the University of Nebraska at Omaha (BSBA, Magna Cum Laude, 1985). He is admitted to the bar in Nebraska and Colorado. He is rated “AV® Preeminent™ 5.0 out of 5” by the Martindale-Hubbell® peer-review rating system for meeting the highest standards of legal ability and ethics. 

 

Mr. Harvey is an active member of the Rotary Club of Omaha, where he served as Club President (2017-18), as a member of the Board, and as a chairperson for numerous committees, and a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. He also serves on various committees for Rotary District 5650, including District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair. He has also served on the boards of several local charities. He and his wife Gretchen, who is also an attorney, are the proud parents of a daughter and son.

Greg Erwin, Chairman

Greg Erwin was the  founding member of the EHPV Management Group. 

 

Mr. Erwin received a BA in Economics from Grinnell College in Iowa, and was awarded his law degree summa cum laude from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Following graduation from law school, he was associated with Governor Thomas E. Dewey's law firm, Dewey Ballantine, in New York City. In 1973, Mr. Erwin joined the Kutak Rock law firm in Omaha as its chief securities lawyer and ninth partner. Greg went on to establish several successful businesses, including starting Big Red Keno in 1991.

 

Mr. Erwin passed away in March of 2023. Greg's imprint on the companies he was associated with continues to this day, and he will be missed.
